Arthur J. Picard

Picard, Arthur J. passed away peacefully on Feb. 21, 2014. He was born November 3, 1931, and was a long time resident of Plantation. He retired from Ft. Lauderdale Police Dept at the rank of Sergeant after many years of service. He was an avid Tennis player, enjoying the game with dear friends. He spent his retired years traveling the world with his loving wife of 61 years Eleanor “ Ellie”. who survives him. He was also the wonderful father of Suzanne (John), Kathy (Ossie), and David (Jayson); loving Grandpa of Shannon, Kelly, Christina, and proud great grandfather of 5. He was the dear brother of Annette and Richard, and uncle to his nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday 2/25 10:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 N. University Drive Plantation, FL. Art choose to help others by contributing his remains to the University of Miami School of Medicine. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Vitas Healthcare, and Caring Hands ALF who assisted the family in caring for Art in his final days. Arrangements by T.M.
