Berta Z. Garcia

Berta Z. Garcia  “Abu” passed away March 3, 2014 surrounded by her family.  She had been resident of Plantation for 15 years.  She was born in Cuba, to Jose and Maria Josefa Cruz. She left her beloved homeland in 1966, and moved to Spain. She immigrated to New Jersey in 1967.  She played guitar, loved music, and singing. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband in 1991, &  her siblings Vincente, Carlos, and Fifa.   She was a wonderful mother to Bertha (Pete) Balistreri, and Ramon (Lorraine) Garcia. She was the special “Abu” to her only grandchild Cristina.  Friends will be received at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00-8:00PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church on Friday at 10:00AM.  She will always live on in the hearts of those who loved her.Cremation arrangments by T.M.
