Elke Marie Kurtz

Kurtz, Elke passed away September 9, 2014. Her three sons Kenneth Louis, John Edward & wife Tina Marie, Michael Lawrence & future daughter in law Susan Elizabeth, grandchildren Emily, Drew, Samantha, Jennifer, Cole, Mackenzie, Julia & Alexander; cousins, Horst and Eva Mader, and their children and grandchildren who reside in the Pacific Northwest, survive her.An avid volunteer, she was active in numerous community organizations including the Plantation Women’s Club, Bayberry Garden Club, Plantation Historical Society, Friends of the Library, and the Scoliosis Association.  She was a graduate of the University of Florida, and obtained her Masters in Social Work from Barry University. She worked with Children and Family services for many years. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM at Plantation United Methodist Church 1001 NW 70 Avenue. Interment will take follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park. You are invited to join the family to visit and for fellowship from 4:00-6:00PM at the Church Fellowship Hall.  To honor her, the family suggests memorial donations to one of the organizations that she volunteered with.  Arrangements by T.M.Ralph Plantation Funeral Home 954 587-6888.
