Carolyn Earl Tulloch of Plantation FL, formerly of Malone NY and long- time resident recently passed away Sunday, October 19,2014. Carolyn, born January 12, 1938, had graduated high school at St Joseph’s Academy, received her Bachelor of Arts from Lemoyne College in Syracuse, NY and a Master’s degree in English Education from SUNY Potsdam. Carolyn retired from Franklin Academy Senior High School where she taught 11th grade English for 27 years. She was instrumental in the development of Franklin Academy’s Speech Team. She was an adjunct Professor in the English Department at North Country Community College Malone Campus from 1973-1987 and served on the Board of the North Franklin Federal Credit Union. Carolyn was an active member of the Republican Party, Lion’s Club, Duck’s Unlimited and the Malone Golf Club.
After retirement, Carolyn relocated to Plantation Florida, completed a certification in substance abuse counseling and spent 10 years as the coordinator for the Divorce Care Ministry at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Carolyn was an entrepreneur, published author and professional photographer. She earned recognition as a life- long learner and supporter of children through education.
Carolyn was pre-deceased by her parents Delbert and Caroline ‘Clara’ Johanna (nee Lucey) Earl and her sister Elizabeth “Betsy” Medley. Carolyn is survived by her most beloved partner Paul Noll (Plantation) and her sister Sandra Marie Earl of Largo, FL. She leaves two sons, Stephen (Ronda) Tulloch, West Palm Beach FL., and K. Andrew (Suzanne) Tulloch, Rochester NY with 4 grandchildren William, Kelly, Ian, and Madeline Tulloch.
Her life will be celebrated through a family and friends visitation at TM Ralph Funeral Home Sunday evening Ocotber 26, 2014 between the hours of 4 and 6pm. A Special Intention Mass will be held at on Monday, Ocotber 27, 2014 at 10am. Following Mass, an inurnment will take place at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to TM Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, however, family requests donations be made to Sloane Kettering Cancer centers, Lion’s club of Malone, NY, or to the American Cancer Society.
