Patricia A. Curione

Patricia A. Curione, 76, passed away on December 22, 2014. After a courageous battle with cancer, God called home one of his angels. Patricia A. (Patty Salerno) Curione, daughter of the late Pasqualina (Bessie) Viddivo and Neil (Chief) Salerno was born January 8, 1938 in Albany, NY, where she resided and raised her family until moving to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1995. Preceded in death by her brother, Neil (Sonny) Salerno, she is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph H. Curione and her 5 devoted children; Victoria, Lori (Michael Flynn); Jill (Thomas) Blanchard; Tracy (Michael Van Rosendael) and Daniel (Christine) Curione; and her 6 precious grandchildren, who brought so much love and joy to her life; Timothy Van Rosendael; Donald and Kaci White, Rocco Mazzaferro, and Cynthia and Kenneth Curione. She is also survived by her loving sister, Jean Sgambelluri and sister and brother-in-laws, Mary Lou (Curione) and Angelo Serofino, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In Florida, Patty basked in the warmth of the sun and in the love of the many friends and extended family with whom she shared some of the best times of her life. Whether it was cruising, going to the Islands, the casinos, tailgating parties, football and mostly her Sunday card games with “the girls” (not to mention 3 nights a week), She relished it all. She had a zest for life till the end, and will forever be remembered for her love, laughter, grace, strength, courage, selflessness and generosity of spirit. She will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved her. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Trustbridge Hospice Care Team, especially; Yolette and Karen, who themselves are God’s Angels on Earth, for their gentle & loving care. We are also forever grateful to Betty Chiffolo for her caring love and support to Patty and the entire family, you are a dear friend. We are also forever grateful to all her dear friends (extended family) for all the help, love, generosity and support to all of us.
