Oreste “Sig” Sigillito, Jr, 89, of Plantation, FL, went home to the Lord on Dec 23, 2014. He was born in St. Louis, MO, June 5, 1925 to Angeline and Oreste Sigillito. Oreste worked with his father in Poplar Bluff, MO before entering the Army and serving during the Korean conflict. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a civil engineering degree and was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. He lived and worked in St. Louis before moving to South Florida with his family in 1979.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Mary Muccigrosso and daughter Christina. He is survived by his spouse, Goldie Malachowsky and three stepsons: Gary (Helen), Ron (Irene),Ken (Leslie); his brother, John Sigillito; seven children: Natalie Tremols, O. James Sigillito (Mary), Robert Sigillito (Rhonda), Annette Greber (Steve), Patrice Shibuya (Peter), Suzanne Sigillito, Nicole Hipp (Jon); their mother, Patricia Sigillito-Iannaci and nine grandchildren: Anthony, Philip, Jose, Luis, Oliver, Yuki, Kaya, Ainsley and Cal.
A viewing will be held at T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home on Saturday December 27, from 2-4 PM. A prayer service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at a later date.
