Dennis O'Shea, former Agent-in Charge of the Broward County offices of the FBI passed away quietly on December 21, 2014. Mr. O'Shea was born in Manhattan, and began his college studies at Cornell University. However, his entire freshman class was drafted and Mr. O'Shea landed on the beaches of France and proceeded to follow General Patton through Europe. He managed to survive the bloodiest battle of the war, the Battle of the Bulge. Just last year, France awarded Mr. O'Shea its highest honor, the French Foreign Legion Medal of Honor. Yet being a humble man, he never talked about the war or his exploits—ever.
Mr. O'Shea returned from WWII and enrolled at the The College of the Holy Cross where he and his teammates won a national championship in basketball. Again, you would have never known that unless you looked it up. Deeds always spoke louder than words, and that was his worldview. When he took over the head job in Broward's FBI offices, he simply told the media," They( the mob) will know we're around."
He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 63 years, Patricia, son Dennis (Sheila), his brother Eugene, his cherished granddaughter Erin and a loving host of nephews and nieces.
