A. Campbell Berkeley, III, 40, of Weston, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 after an almost decade-long courageous battle with a brain tumor. Campbell is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne Conde-Berkeley, and cherished son, Alejandro. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Berkeley (and partner Greg Pearson), twin sister, Carter Berkeley-Taylor and her husband Rob and son Brayden and his father, Arch Berkeley, stepmother Donna Berkeley and step-brother, Matt Dumas. He was predeceased by his grandparents on his mother’s side, Ralph Dearen Mann and Hazel Jordan Mann and his father’s side, Archibald Campbell Berkeley and Jeanette Haydon Berkeley. He was a graduate of The Collegiate School in Richmond, Va. He was a member of the 1974 Striker soccer team and was later selected to the 1993 All Prep and Richmond summer leagues. He also graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC with a BA in Economics and Spanish. After college Campbell spent three years working for the Peace Corp in Bolivia. Upon returning to the U.S., he started working for Aerotek in Richmond, VA and later transferred to Florida with the company. During Campbell’s time with Aerotek, he was a successful recruiter, sales person and research analyst. He was also a sales contest winner and went to Cancun, Mexico to represent the company. Campbell’s family meant the world to him. He met his wife, Yvonne, in 2005, and they were later married in front of God, friends and family. A few years later, they welcomed their son, Alejandro, into the world. Campbell was a proud and loving father from day one. Some of his favorite moments were the ones where he and his family were outside playing soccer, tennis or baseball or riding bikes. Campbell loved all things cycling-related. He was an avid road and mountain biker, and could often be seen on the roads around his home participating in group rides with his friends. Visitation will be held Sunday 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the T.M.Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass Weston 371 NW 136 Avenue Sunrise, FL 33325. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 9:30 AM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church 1301 SW 136 Avenue Davie, FL. Inurnment will take place at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.
