Tabeek, MaryAnn, 82, of Sunrise, passed away January 26, 2015-just one day shy of her 83rd birthday.
Born in Brooklyn, NY; she graduated from college as an LPN and soon after met the love of her life, Elias (Lou) Tabeek. After marriage, they moved to Staten Island, and later relocated to South Florida. Together they were married for 51 years before his death in 2005. MaryAnn’s passions were cooking, family, grandkids, and her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her five children, Al (Kim), Greg (Vicky), Jim, Debbie, and LouAnn; five grandchildren, Greg (Jenn), Teresa (John), Krystal (Vinny), Emily and Alex; and two great-grandchildren, Cayden and Jaxson; sister, Gertrude Zagarella; and brother-in-law, George Tabeek. MaryAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Elias Tabeek in 2005; grandson, Jimmy Tabeek in 1988; and JoAnn Tabeek, who perished in 9/11. Visitation will be Friday, from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 9:00AM, at All Saints Catholic Church, with entombment immediately following at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
