Susan Elizabeth Kelly

Kelly, Susan was born July 18, 1946 in Baltimore, MD to George W. and Elizabeth B. Blake. She passed away January 29, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family. Susan attended Townson High School and graduated in 1964. She later attended Essex Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. Susan moved to Florida in 1979 and became a Head Nurse at Pembroke Pines Hospital and eventually became Director of Patient Care by 1987, after graduating from FIU with her BS in Health Services Administration. Susan left Pembroke Pines Hospital and went to work for Mederi Home Health as a Nursing Coordinator. From Mederi Home Health, she matriculated to the Agency for Health Care Administration where she functioned as Health Facilities Surveyor until 2009, when she retired. Susan is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Michael, her two daughters, Bridget M. Silva, M.D. and Kerry Caffarelli, CPA; her older brother Bruce D. Greenawalt, her grandchildren Richie Goos, Kelli Goos, Katelyn Caffarelli, and Paul M. Silva, II. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or  Joe DiMaggio Childrens Fund. Friends will be received on Sunday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, and on Monday from 11:00 - 11:30 AM at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:30 AM. Arrangements by T.M.
