It became an officially adopted state program of the Knights of Columbus in 1970 and known as the Forget-Me-Not Tootsie Roll campaign (today named intellectual Disabilities Fund Drive). The program has been adopted in some form throughout the 50 states, Canada, Mexico and the Philippines and continues to raise millions of dollars annually for those who are in most need.
