Rita Elizabeth Ferraro

Ferraro, Rita Elizabeth 79 of Tamarac, Florida passed away March 30, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, and special grandmother. Born in Inwood, New York, she was the daughter of John and Margaret Dorn (nee Daly). She worked for many years for the School Board as a cafeteria worker, and for over 20 years at Boston Man Cleaners in Sunrise, where she made many friends. She had been active with the Rokest Homeowners Association, and had served as Treasurer and Secretary. In her younger years with her husband Thomas she loved Vegas, in her later years she became an avid Bingo player. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 1997; brother and sister in law Red and Sally, and stepson Jack Ferraro. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Ferraro, and Donna (Vincent) Marchese, brothers Bob (Kate) Dorn, and Jim (Carol) Dorn, grandchildren Tyler (Michelle) DiMattei, Cody DiMattei, Nicholas Marchese, Danielle (Michael) Atcher, great grandson Nathaniel DiMattei, and was also know as Grammy to Kelly and Katherine Atcher. She is also survived by her stepchildren Thomas (Patti) Ferraro, Jr. Diane D’Angelone, and stepdaughter in law Linda Ferraro, and grandmother to their 9 children, and great grandmother to 13. Visitation will be held Monday 6:00-9:00 PM at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston 371 NW 136 Avenue Sunrise, Florida. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10: 30 AM At All Saints Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn South Cemetery. Arrangements by T.M.
