Josephine M. Skoczylas, 97 years old, passed away on April 7, 2015 due to natural causes. She was surrounded by her loving family as she embarked on her journey to the eternal life. She is preceded in death by her parents Antoni and Anna Michnowicz, her husband Robert Skoczylas and her son Raymond Skoczylas. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Magli (Guy), her grandchildren; Tina Stage (Eric), Mark Magli (Lou-Lou), David Magli, Andreya Cobbs (Roger), Sandra Skoczylas and Bridget Skoczylas. She was the beloved great-grandmother “Babci” to Mason, Cameron, Bianca, Dominic, Tyce and Kyle. She is survived by her dear sisters; Mary Kelly, Helen Lurker and sister-in-law, Dolores Michnowicz. She will also join her siblings Frances Klimek, Antonette Gabriel and Julius Michnowicz who preceded her in death. She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She had a career in manufacturing for Westinghouse of Bloomfield, New Jersey. Following her retirement, she dedicated the majority of her time as a volunteer at Clara Maas Hospital in Bellville, NJ. She moved to Florida in 1997 where she continued her commitment to helping others at Northwest Regional Hospital in Margate. Her strength and compassion were just a small part of what everyone loved and admired about her. Gram, as she was known, never fell short of being the life of any party or gathering with her friends and family. Completely gregarious and warm, she loved to socialize about current events, history and the great social influences of today. Due in part to family, she developed a tremendous passion for watching and cheering for sporting events. She would always ask, “who are you going for” and align herself with your team accordingly. In essence, she always wanted everyone to feel happy and fulfilled. She helped to make that possible for so many people. She will always be cherished and remembered by her family and friends. ”Have a happy….” A Funeral Mass will be held Friday April 24 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen Of Heaven Church.
