Virginia Hornick

Virginia A. Hornick, 77, died Friday, June 5th, in her home after a battle with lung cancer. A generous, kind, and loving mother, she was predeceased by her husband of 37-years John A. Hornick. Prior to her retirement, Ginny worked in the medical field, enjoyed scrabble and crossword puzzles, and her beloved pet dog Bandit. Ginny is survived by her four children, Susan McGill, Stephen Tufts, Scott Tufts (Nadine) and John M. Hornick (Rhonda); brothers Gus Cross (Donna) and Jay Cross (Bobbie); Uncle John Sanders; Grandchildren Kerry McGill, Katy McGill, K.C. McGill, Keleigh McGill, Vincent Tufts (Amy), Aspen Tufts, Thomas Tufts, Christian Castro, Gianna Tufts, and John E. Hornick, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Lauderdale Memorial Park at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 10th, and a brief gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home immediately afterward. Please plan to arrive at the cemetery shortly after 10:00AM. She will live on in the hearts of those whom she loved.
