Richard "Mr B." Broekhuizen

Richard Broekhuizen, of Plantation, Florida and Franklin, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 16 with his family by his side. He was lovingly known as "Mr. B" to the thousands of students he taught throughout his 38 year career at Nova High School. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Kristi Broekhuizen Duchon, son in law Scott Duchon, his grandchildren Gage and Zuzu Duchon, his mother Evelyn and brother Robert. In his memory, the family suggests donations to the Florida Methodist Children's Home at www.fumch.org  . Memorial services are being planned for 11:00 am Saturday, June 27 at Plantation United Methodist Church with a reception immediately following.
