Margaret A. Martens, (nee Beebe) 88 of Plantation, Florida, passed away July 19, 2015 Margaret was born in Schoolcraft, Michigan March 22, 1927. She was married in Vicksburg Michigan to Emerson (Bud) Martens, Jr. who predeceased her. She is survived by son Joseph (Brenda) Martens, Granddaughter Cheryl Basallo and great granddaughter Amanda Basallo, all of Tampa, Florida. And a daughter Christine (Douglas) Stenger of Plantation, Florida. 2 grandchildren, David Stenger & Kimberly Stenger Lefkof and 2 great grandchildren Luke Lefkof and Nathan Stenger. She is also survived by 5 siblings, Shirley Sharp, Betty Harper, Patricia Noel, Carl Beebe & Ronald Beebe Sr. all f Vicksburg, Michigan. Margaret retired from Broward County in 1992 after working for the Broward County Commission for 33 years, in the Recording Department & Clerk of Circuit Court. She took great pride in “Managing the Records” and providing the best service to the people of Broward County. Margaret enjoyed assisting her husband as part of the Fort Lauderdale Shriners as well, and served as President of the Camelettes in 1980 & 1988. Margaret served as a Deaconess for her Parkway Christian Church family as well as volunteering on other committees in the church. In her free time she always enjoyed gardening as well as the art of painting ceramics where she provided many fine pieces of art for family and friends. Family and friends will miss her kind and positive spirit of encouragement . Freinds will be received on Thursday from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home 371 NW 136 Avenue Sunrise, Florida 33325 Interment will be Friday at Palm Beach Memorial Gardens, Lantana Florida In lieu of flowers Donations may be made to a charity of your choice
