Henry R. Zippay Jr., 67, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2015, with his wife, Catherine W. Zippay, by his side. He is also survived by his two sisters, Angela Bauer and Nina Zippay, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, whom he dearly loved.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and as a young boy moved to White City in Southern Illinois. He served proudly in the U.S. Army and was a Viet Nam combat veteran. Thereafter, he graduated from Western Illinois University and John Marshall Law School. He practiced law in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach, Florida, for 39 years and was loved and respected by clients and fellow attorneys alike. He actively practiced until October 2015 despite numerous health issues, which he took in stride and always considered a mere inconvenience, despite their seriousness. he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church 2500 NE 14th Street Causeway, Pompano Beach, FL on January 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
