Berneice L. Armistead

ARMISTEAD, Berneice (Sanger) passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2016. Berneice was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on September 15, 1924. She was a graduate of Port Clinton High School, Class of ’42. She married Robert D. Sanger in 1943. Robert passed in 1977. She remarried in 1984 to Thomas S. Armistead of Richmond, VA, who predeceased her on January 14, 2006. Berneice was a longtime resident of Plantation, Florida, having moved into the community in 1966. She was an accountant in Fort Lauderdale for more than forty years. Berneice was an avid reader and loved to travel. She is survived by her sister, Wilma Whitlock; sons Gregory L. Sanger (Sharon), Reggie David Sanger (Mary Ellen), daughter Toni A. Mayhew (Brad), granddaughters Brandy, Chelsea and Casey Mayhew, grandson Jason Weeks, and great granddaughter, Jessica Weeks. She loved her immediate and extended family members fiercely. She will be greatly missed. Freinds will be received from 11:30 Am until the service time. Services will be held at T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home at 7001 NW 4 St., Plantation, FL at 1 pm, Monday, January 18.
