Jarod Alexander Dexter, 17, died due to injuries from a motorcycle accident on February 11, 2016 around 11:00pm. He was born on June 3, 1998 in Plantation, Florida to parents Robert and Leticia Dexter. He was a senior at South Plantation High School where he was heavily involved in athletics as well as the horticulture program. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Leticia Dexter, his sister, Chelsea Dexter, and his maternal grandparents June Willig and Miguel Nuñez. On his father’s side, Jarod leaves behind two uncles, Russell and Todd Dexter, and Two Aunts, Debbie Dexter and Terrie Tellini as well as their spouses and several cousins. On his mother’s side, Jarod also leaves his aunt, Michelle Nuñez and his cousins, Connor and Roanin Pastore whom were also two of his closest friends, and his youngest cousin Leona Oliveri. Jarod was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Carol and Robert Russell Dexter. At school, Jarod was very well liked amongst his peers and is leaving many great friends behind. Upon graduation, Jarod was planning on attending community college while conditioning himself to become a pararescueman for the U.S. Air Force. The viewing will be held at TM Ralph funeral home from 2:00pm-8:00pm on Saturday the 20th. The celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016, at the Corporate Pavilion in Markham Park from 12:00pm-5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Jarod’s name to South Plantation High School’s Animal Science, something that Jarod was very passionate about.
