Helen M. Schoening

Helen M. Schoening was born on December 1, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the beloved daughter of John and Helen Matarazzo. She was baptized at St. Francis of Assisi Church in New York. She worked as a legal secretary for many years, and then went back to school and became a Registered Nurse. She was an active parishioner of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, and active with St. Vincent de Paul Society. She met and married her husband Roberto, to whom she was married for 28 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sister Joanne (Ray) Abruzzese and Lois (Don) Caputo. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 9:00 am until 10:30 AM at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home 7001 NW 4 Street. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Her urn will be placed at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donation to St Vincent de Paul Society care of St. Bernard Catholic Church 8279 Sunset Strip Sunrise,FL 33322.
