William E. Moses

d. March 27, 2016

William E. "Bill" Moses, 75, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 27, 2016, with his wife, Rose Marie "Petey" Moses by his side, just as she had been for the past 50 years. Born in New Kensington to Henry and Mary Neasi Moses, he lived on Second Avenue in New Kensington until his parents moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1956, along with his first cousin, Dennis Neasi. Bill graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1958. He was an avid baseball player, basketball player and tennis player. Shortly after graduation, Bill entered the Air Force and was stationed in Bitburg, Germany, and played basketball for the Bitburg Barons. Upon his honorable discharge, he received his B.S. in accounting from Florida State University and his Masters of Health Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Bill married his soulmate, Rose Marie Bailey, on July 31, 1965. Rose became fondly known as "Petey" Moses. Bill enjoyed a long and notable career as a controller and chief financial officer for several hospitals in Florida, Pennsylvania and California. Surviving are his wife, "Petey" Moses; his two children, Kari Moses Tarnowski, of Plantation, Fla., and Michael Esper Moses, of Monroe, N.J.; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jack, Alexander and Angelina; and his many loving cousins, godchildren and friends.
