Linda Sultzer

January 4, 1949 — April 1, 2016

Linda Sultzer passed on quietly to her eternal reward Friday, April 1, at her Plantation home with her loving husband, Charles, beloved sister Lucy, and devoted children and friends at her bedside. Born Linda Gaeta to her parents, Leonard and Josephine Gaeta, on January 4, 1949, she grew up on Staten Island, N.Y. Her life’s journey included working in public relations for Western Electric in New York City. She and members of her family moved to Broward County in 1979. Linda became a highly respected legal secretary and paralegal, working throughout her career with some of Broward’s best-known law firms. She met businessman Charles Sultzer and they married in 1985. A devout Catholic, Linda was a long-time member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Plantation, where she was a member of the Women’s Guild. Among her greatest pleasures in life was hosting gourmet Italian meals she prepared from old-family recipes. She also loved showing off orchids that she proudly grew, as well as attending meetings of the Plantation Orchid Society. Besides husband Charles and her sister, Lucy McNeish, of Fort Lauderdale, Linda is survived by her four children: Rose Pawlin of Palm Beach Gardens; sons Michael and Nick Sultzer , and daughter Kristie Sultzer, all of Plantation; and her nephew, Michael Valenti, of Boca Raton. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her sister, Minnie, and by her brother, Leonard. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give someone you love an orchid to celebrate the life of this very special lady. Viewing will be held Thursday, April 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home in Plantation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida.Funeral arrangements by T. M.
