Billy "Wayne" Simmons

Simmons, Billy :Wayne" age 68 of Plantation, FL. passed away at home on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. He had worked for Alcatel-Lucent Technology for over 42 years. A veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Valerie; sister, Sherry Dixon and his brother, James Allan (Jill) Simmons. His family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30-12:00 PM at St. Benedicts Episcopal Church, 7801 NW 5 Street, Plantation, FL. with a 12 Noon service at the church with military honors to follow. Interment at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake worth, FL. will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Vitas Hospice, Team 148 in his memory.
