Cynthia P. Newman

Cynthia P. Newman beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and friend to all, sadly passed away on May 10th 2016 at the age of 88, after a long illness. She was born in the town of Spaulding located in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica W.I. to parents Wentworth Hyde McCaulay and Tessie Mildred Webb. In the early 1970’s she migrated with her family to the United States, from Chudleigh Manchester Jamaica W.I. where she had resided with her family for many years. She has resided in the Fort Lauderdale area for approximately 44 years. She is a retiree from the North Broward Hospital District where she was employed for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Oswald Newman (Bill). Together they had 8 kids, 5 of whom predeceased her, Harold Newman, Peter Newman, Gary Newman, Philip Newman, and Wentworth Newman. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Chong, (Patsy), of Palm Beach, FL; sons, Howard Newman of Fort Lauderdale, FL and David Newman of Virginia, along with 7 grandchildren, 10 Great grandchildren, many cousins nieces and nephews whom all adored her. She is now at rest but will be missed by everyone. Funeral services will be at T. M. Ralph Funeral Home located at 7001 NW 4th Street Plantation Fl. 33317 on Saturday May 21st. Viewing from 10am to 12 noon. Funeral service at 12 noon and Burial immediately following at Lauderdale Memorial Park located at 2001 SW 4th Ave Ft Lauderdale Fl. 33315.
