Hector “Victor” Williams, age 85 of Sunrise FL, peacefully passed away this Friday, June 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to parents David and Gwendolyn Williams on July 7, 1930 in Kingston, Jamaica, and was the eldest of two. He attended St. Georges College in Kingston, married Lorna “Hopey” in 1956, and started an office equipment & supply company where he worked with his wife. He moved his family to Miami, Florida in 1976 and continued to be self-employed for over 45 years.
Victor is survived by his wife, Lorna; his daughters Karen Cruitt and Jacqueline Williams; son Richard Williams; sister Joyce Duncan, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by a step-brother and step-sister.
A Memorial Service will be held at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home at 371 NW 136 Avenue, Sunrise, FL, 33325 on Friday, June 10th at 1:30pm. Family will receive visitors starting at 1:00pm. A cremation and private commitment ceremony will take place at a later date; his ashes will be laid to rest at sea. Victor was happiest when boating on the oceans of Jamaica and South Florida.
