Patricia Hiaasen

Patricia M. Hiaasen, 88, died on June 16 at her home in Plantation, where she had lived for more than 50 years. She was a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,and a gifted artist. She was born in Chicago in 1927, and was the eldest of three children. She attended St.Mary’s College in Notre Dame and later moved with her family to Fort Lauderdale,where in 1952 she married attorney K. Odel Hiaasen. He passed away in 1976. Patricia is survived by her four children, Carl, Judith, Barbara and Robert; six grandchildren, Scott, Carly, Ben, Samantha, Hannah and Quinn; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Claire and Webb; and her sister, Judith Moran, of Woodruff, Wis. Her brother, Father Robert E. Moran, was a Paulist priest. He passed away in 2006. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home at 7001 NW 4th St in Plantation. The viewing will be followed by a brief service.
