Marie Payton Hadzima

Marie Payton Hadzima, R.N., 81 of Plantation, Florida formerly of Barrington, RI passed away on June 27, 2016. She was the widow of Gerard E. Hadzima. Born in Passaic, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Eva (Dube) Payton, Sr. Marie was a gradute of Pope Pius XII High School, Passaic, NJ. She graduated from the Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing as a RN and later received an AS from the Community College of Rhode Island. She was a registered nurse at RI Hospital for over 25 years. After retiring from RIH, Marie enjoyed working with the students of St. Gregory The Great School where she was a cafeteria attendant. She is survived by her children: Marianne Hadzima and her husband, Howrard William III of Riverside, RI; Thomas Hadzima and his wife, Cyndi of Ocala, FL; Eileen (Hadzima) Posgay and her husband John of Plantation, FL; and Jane (Hadzima) Iodice and her husband, Wayne of Rehoboth, MA; her grandchildren ; Nicole and Jack Posgay of Plantation< FL and Mia and Dylan Iodice of Rehoboth, MA; her sister Lorraine (Payton) McKee of Paterson. NJ. She was a sister of the late Martin J. Payton, Jr. Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016, 10:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church in Barrington ,RI with interment to follow at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery.
