Karl Mikkelsen

Karl Mikkelsen was born in New York City to Karl and Anna Mikkelsen. He completed his Associate's Degree at the City College of New York. and worked as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician for many years. Karl was proud to have served in the Marines. He and his wife moved from Staten Island, N.Y., in 1992. Karl had a love of flying, and enjoyed piloting, as a hobby, single engine aircraft.. He was married for 59 years to his beloved wife, Marilyn. Together, they raised their family, two sons, Karl and Dennis. He was so proud of his children and his grandchildren, Nicole and Melissa. He was happily anticipating the birth of his first great-granddaughter. Karl fought a valiant battle, for many years, against cancer. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday July 30th , 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Sunrise.
