Ruth Shields Krolak

Ruth Krolak, 80, passed away August 7th 2016 in Plantation, FL. She was born in LaSalle, IL where she attended St. Patrick's grade school and graduated from LP High School. She attended LPO Junior College and earned her teaching certificate at Illinois State Normal University. Ruth taught first and second grade at Dimmick Township School in LaSalle and third grade at Northview in Peru, IL. She married Leo Krolak July 11th, 1959 at St. Patrick's church in LaSalle, IL. She was A member of St. Gregory's Church in Plantation, FL since 1971. Ruth was also a PAL and PALMS Board member, as well as a member of the Plantation Women's Club. Ruth is preceded in death by her daughter Catherine. She is survived by her husband Leo, daughter Jane, sons Robert (Gloria) James (Julie) and grandchildren Joshua, Thomas and Alice. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM-3:00 PM and a memorial service will be held Saturday August 13th, 3:00 PM, at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Plantation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society may be made.
