Blanche A. McNally

August 9, 1922 — January 7, 2017

Blanche Ann McNally, born in New York on August 9, 1922, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 7, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Heinlein, and brother, Stanley Krolack, and husbands, Stanley Nerkowitz, and Jim McNally.  She is survived by her sister, Helen Schorr, ten nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.  She is lovingly known to family and close friends as Aunt Taty.  Before retiring to South Florida, Blanche had a long and successful career working for the Town of Hempstead, New York.  Her commitment and dedication to the town are recognized to this day.  Blanche thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years.  She traveled extensively and loved visiting family in New York and Georgia.  Blanche enjoyed her time on a bowling league and playing golf at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club. She also made good friends in the Life After 50 Club at Saint Gregory Catholic Church.  She loved being surrounded by her family.  She delighted in participating in family activities and celebrations.  Aunt Taty was a source of guidance and encouragement in the lives of her nieces and nephews.  Blanche was a devout Catholic whose faith sustained her through difficult times and helped her appreciate life’s blessings.  She generously contributed to causes dear to her heart.  Blanche died peacefully with loving family at her side, leaving behind a legacy of memories and love.  Her family would like to thank all the loving and compassionate caregivers at Victoria Villa where she spent her last eleven months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mary Ann Heinlein Scholarship Fund at Saint Gregory Catholic School, Plantation, Florida.
