Tenser, Florence , a long time resident of Plantation, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her home. She was born in 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. Florence was a graduate of the Vogue School of Dress Design in Chicago. She worked for many years at Bank of America. She loved life and enjoyed her friends, activities and travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Earl Tenser; parents, Charles and Henrietta Phillips and her sister, Audrey Rose Phillips. She is survived by her adopted family, Debra and David Brindley, Grandchildren, Dana Brindley, Daniel and Krystal Brindley and Great Grandchildren, Owen and Emmalyn Brindley. Cousins, John and Rita Phillips and family, Bruce and Lisa Weihe and family, plus many cousins and a host of wonderful friends. Florence was a volunteer at Westside Regional Medical Center and Plantation United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Red Hat Society, Plantation Women's Club, Over 50 Fellowship at St. Gregory Catholic Church and the Methodist Women's Group. Her family will recieve friends on Sunday from 2:00-4:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Children's Home or to St. Jude's Hospital in her memory.
