Video will be silent until service time Please use this link after 11:15 Am to view the stream of Funeral Service Alan Wayne DeSimone, 75 years old, passed away on Sunday, April 16th, 2023, at HCA Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida. He was born on August 9th, 1947, in Washington, D. C. but relocated to Miami in 1964. Wayne quickly became a true Floridian with a passion for the beaches and ocean. As a diver and dive instructor, he had many opportunities to explore the beauty of nature under the sea. Wayne was also a lifelong sports enthusiast and an avid reader. Through the years, he had many beloved pets including birds, cats, and fish, but he especially loved his dogs. After graduating from high school, Wayne served in the Army and was deployed for two tours in Vietnam. Upon returning to the United States, he continued his education and received his bachelor’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. Wayne enjoyed a long and successful career at Southern Bell Telephone Company. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Albert and Helen DeSimone. He is survived by his special friend, Carolyn Marshall, two sisters, Nancy Laycock and Lora Meade (Charles), and one brother Frank DeSimone (Annette). Wayne was a devoted uncle to his seven nieces and nephews and to his 14 great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home at 7001 NW 4th Street, at 9:30a.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 to honor the life of Alan Wayne DeSimone. Flowers, donations to Vietnam Veterans or the Humane Society of Broward County are all appreciated and welcome. Wayne will be buried at the South Florida National Cemetery with full honors.
