Alexander Ernesto Acosta

It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of an amazing and devoted father, husband, and Miami-Dade Fire Department Lt. Alexander Acosta. His unwavering dedication to the community, the countless lives he saved, and the love he gave to his family and friends will never be forgotten. 

Alex dedicated his life to saving others and empowering the youth by training new firefighters, medics, and more. His home was always open to anyone, reflecting his generous and hospitable nature. As a mentor to many, he was always just a phone call away, ready to lend a hand or offer guidance.  

 Alex leaves behind his beloved wife Carolyn and teenage son Alex Jr., who now face the challenge of adjusting to life without their cherished husband and father.

In lieu of flowers  a fund has been established. Any contributions raised will go towards funeral expenses and supporting the family's immediate needs as they navigate this difficult period. Any contribution, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated.
