Angela Tavares, 81, of Plantation, Florida passed away on February 2, 2019. Angela Tavares, of Plantation, Florida passed away while at home in the comfort of her family on February 2, 2019. Mrs. Tavares, originally a native of New Jersey, who resided in Belleville, Lake Hiawatha, Bloomfield, and Wyckoff before becoming a Florida resident in 1979, was a bookkeeper for the family business and operated an art gallery on Las Olas Boulevard. Mrs. Tavares had many varied interests was an avid nature lover who enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, long walks on the beach, boating, gardening, volunteering, reading, learning, traveling, and the arts. Above all, however, she enjoyed her family. Married to Henrique Tavares II (deceased), she had three children Debra, Henrique III, and Michael (deceased). Mrs. Tavares is survived by her daughter Debra, son Henrique III and his children Henrique IV (Ricky), Jenifer (Husband Adolfo and great grandbaby Emma), Brittany (Husband Geraldo), and Michael’s wife Angela their children Lola and Logan. Her beloved family, sisters Maria Buro, and Laura Sandomeno and brother John Santiago (deceased) and a host of nieces and nephews she loved as her own will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends Monday, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 AM, at Saint David Catholic Church in Davie, Florida. additional services will be held at Megaro Funeral Home in Belleville, New Jersey with a Mass at Saint Peters Catholic Church and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
