Ann C. Placzek

Ann Placzek, of Plantation, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021 and has rejoined the love of her life, husband Theodore (Teddy) Placzek, in Heaven. Ann was born in Hahira, Georgia and moved to Ft. Lauderdale as a young teenager. She was the deeply loved and cherished matriarch of a remarkable family. Ann was a devout Catholic and dedicated member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, where for many years she led the Nursing Home Ministry and was actively involved in the Life After 50 Fellowship program and Plantation Women’s Club. She held multiple positions in the Plantation Elkettes, the women’s organization of the Plantations Elks Club. Ann is survived by her 4 children, Lou Westbrook (Lee), Lisa Mattson, John Mcintyre (Janet), and Dale Mcintyre (Connie), 2 step-daughters Carol Patterson (Randy) and Connie Brown, and sister Faye Reece (Rick). Her Son, Marlon (Marty) Mcintyre preceded her in death. She also has 11 extraordinary grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Ann loved the beach and had an intense love for her family and friends and was ever the protector of those she loved. She will be forever in our memories until we can be with her once again. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Plantation, FL on Wednesday, March 31 at 11:00 AM followed by burial at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth at 1:30 PM.
