Barbara Boy, 90, of Plantation Florida passed on Tuesday August 11. She was the widow of Paul A Boy with over 57 years of a loving marriage. Daughter of Rudy and Elsie (Sharff) Patrizz of Hartford, Ct. She had three siblings, Marie Sequenzia, deceased, William Patrizz, deceased, and Anthony Patrizz of Tamarac, Florida. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Elissa (daughter) and Archie Pacheco, Paul (son) and Michelle Boy, Robin (daughter) and Jorge Acosta. Nine grandchildren, Alana, Erica, Brandon, Brittany, Nicholas, Bryan, Bianca, Paul, and Bailey. And six great grandchildren, Jaeden, James, Ellen, Wyatt, Arya and Lyla. Numerous nieces and nephews in both Florida and Connecticut. Barbara was a long-time resident of Plantation, was active in many civic clubs and activities such as the Plantation Woman’s Club, Plantation Garden Club. She was born and raised in Hartford Ct. Moved to Vernon, Ct. with her husband to raise her family and they relocated to Plantation, Fl. in 1980. She was devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was always surrounded by her family and friends. Nothing was more important than family to her and she loved, loved, loved our times together. Her High School yearbook said it all: “Barbara…miniature dynamo with a lovable smile…her mischievous talent has made her the wit of the class…successfully she has captured the crown of personality.” The family will have a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial of Barbara Boy be made to the American Cancer Society or by phone at 954-564-0880.
