Our beautiful mother, Barbara Ann Nadeau, 74, of Lauderdale Lakes, FL passed away Sunday, (October 10, 2021) after a brave fight with leukemia. Barbara was born in New Britain, CT, the only child and daughter of the late William and Anna (Dimkowski) Baranowski. In her youth she enjoyed taking dance lessons, playing the flute in her high school band and attending church every Sunday with her parents. She lived in CT until she moved to South Florida in the spring of 1983 with her husband and three children. She enjoyed working as a medical receptionist for many years at the Center for EyeCare prior to retiring. Barbara was a dedicated volunteer at All Saints Catholic Church for many years serving in the Gift Shop, as a Eucharist Minister and a Lector. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her daughters, baking, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and the Golden Girls. She also enjoyed word searches and puzzles. She made friends everywhere she went. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Michele Nadeau, Colleen Nadeau and Melissa Nadeau. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Francis (Nate) Nadeau, on May 13, 2020. Barbara deeply loved her husband, children and grand dog, Buddy. She will be very missed by her daughters, friends and extended family. Visitation for Barbara will be held on Monday, October 18th from 10-11:30AM at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home, 7001 N.W. 4th Street, Plantation, FL 33317. Services will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise, FL on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 12PM. Interment will be at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1500 State Road 7 North Lauderdale, FL 33068 following the service at All Saints. Detailed obituary to follow.
