Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann Wade Needle, 71, of Tamarac, passed away after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. An incredibly giving, selfless, thoughtful woman, Betsy and her brother Robert, grew up in Virginia, the children of Walter and Mary Wade. Betsy was a smart, strong woman who graduated from the College of William and Mary. She moved to Florida for sunshine and met Joel, with whom she loved to laugh. Laughter filled her family with joy and her ever-giving spirit. Their two children Jodie (Stan) and Bryan (Kim) loved their mom as their best friend. Betsy was devoted to her grandchildren, Dalton, Gracyn, Madison, and Mayla, always putting family before herself. She gladly spent hours at the ballfields cheering and spent her life always ensuring everyone had what they needed. Betsy is retired from a hard-working career with Broward County Schools. Her family appreciates support and prayers from dear friends and is grateful to have been blessed to have lived amid the presence of this angel. Visitation will be at T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, Saturday, May 12 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM , with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 PM.
