Betty R. Smith, 94, passed away on August 10, 2019 in Plantation, FL. She was born on December 6, 1924 in Ogden, Utah to William Arthur Robinson and Essie Wessberg Robinson.
Betty and her first husband, Bernard, lived in Miami, Florida, where they raised their four children. Betty was a Registered Nurse who would sometimes work along side Bernard in his private practice.
After raising their four children in South Florida, Betty and Bernard moved to Dublin, Georgia, where he eventually became the Chief of Extended Care at the VA Hospital. They enjoyed a few years in Dublin until Bernard passed away.
Betty later met and married John F. Smith, who became her great travel companion. They enjoyed 16 fun years together and traveled to many places across the globe. A few of their favorite trips included Alaska, Scotland, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Bernard A. Kaminski and John F. Smith, her son, Jeffrey W. Kaminski, Sr. and her granddaughter, Lauren C. Daniels Lew
She is survived by her children, Greg Kaminski, Suzanne Daniels (Rusty), Carol Page and her loving partner, Michael Smith. Her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Norton (Joe). Her step-daughter, Elizabeth Aversa (Rocco). Her grandchildren Logan Daniels, Andrew Page, Christopher Page (Pamela), Michael Page, Jeffrey Kaminski, Jr. (Allegra), and Christie Connell (Sean), her great-grandchildren Grant Lew, Ian Connell and Ryan Connell and her step-grandchildren, Margaret Poniatowski and John Aversa.
Memorial Service will be held at Covenant Village of Florida Thursday at 2:00PM
In her memory flowers will be graciously accepted or donations may be made to Covenant Village of Florida Benevolent Fund.
