Beverly A. Couric, age 90, of Miami, Florida, passed away in the early morning of January 9, 2023. Beverly Couric was born in 1932 in Greensboro, N.C. , as the second child of five to William Coble and Lake Brame. While a child, she showed promising musical ability playing the Bass Clarinet in the high school band as first chair. In 1957, Beverly married William Couric in Miami, Florida. Having moved away from Miami and living in San Juan, Puerto Rico for a few years, Beverly came back to call Miami home since 1972. Beverly’s hobbies included art and painting. She also dabbled in sculpting. Beverly attended the University of Miami where she obtained her Bachelors in Art. After becoming a substitute teacher, she returned to obtain a Masters in Library Science to become a full time Dade Country teacher. Beverly was then promoted to Media Specialist for the Pine Island elementary school Library serving over 30 years as Librarian/ Media Specialist to different schools. Beverly returned to U of Miami one more time to obtain her Specialist in Library science while working at Bent Tree Elementary. Beverly love to be with her teaching friends. One of her favorite things was to drive down with them to Key West, especially during fantasy feast. She truly enjoyed the scenery of the Keys. Beverly is survived by her son, Carl, her daughter-in-law, Susan, and Grandchildren, Jillian and Collin. Visitation will be at TM Ralph Funeral Home at 371 NW 136th Ave in Sunrise, FL, Thursday, January 12th, 2023, from 6-8pm. A funeral Service will be held at 7:00PM.
