Bobby C. Crook was born in Providence, KY January 17, 1939, formerly of Mishawaka, Indiana, Bobby passed away on June 30, 2021, at the age of 82, in Sunrise, FL, after a lengthy Illness. He was preceded in death by his father Marlin Crook and mother Virginia (McDowell) Crook, he is survived by his loving wife Jean (Fuller) Crook (married in 1980). Son Robert (Paula) Crook of Presque Isle, MI, Daughter Michelle Crook (John) Banes of Mishawaka, IN, Son Randall Crook of Niles, MI, Son Scott (Christina) Crook of Sunrise, FL and brother Cecil (Cynthia) Crook of Senatobia, MS.
Bob was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Cousin. He is survived by grandchildren Kari Crook, Casey Crook, Christian Crook, Nicholas Crook, Kyle Clodfelter, Brook Clodfelter, Tianna Crook and Gabriella Crook, Step Grandchildren Matthew Patterson, Michael Patterson, Danielle Banes, Johnny Banes. Great Grandchildren Olivia Clodfelter, Sophia Clodfelter and Step Great Grandchildren: Kinley Colwell, Finn Grady, Brody Manis, Mickey Foster, Melanie Foster.
Bobby (Known by friends and family as Bobby C or Bob) graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1957, he enjoyed his cherished High School buddies, football, club membership gatherings “The Dukes” and working at Kuss’s bakery to pay for his nice car and stylish clothes. After graduation Bobby enlisted in the US Army, he served in the infantry and was honorably discharged. He was hired into the Mishawaka Fire Department after his service in the army, during his career he was a captain and a paramedic. He retired after 20 years of service from 1960-1980. He then became the Mishawaka City Street Commissioner under Mayor Robert Kovach from 1980 to 1984. He moved to Sunrise, Florida where he worked for Eastern airlines plane maintenance division from 1985 to 1989. Bobby then opened his own lawn equipment/repair store called Strawberries in Coral Springs, FL. He spent the last 15 years of his career at Home Depot until 2015. (He was a jack of all trades). Bob was a member of the IFFA (Indiana Fire Fighters Association), The D'Amicis Club and BK Club. He was an avid Notre Dame, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.
Bob has many nieces and nephews whom he loved and would enjoy hearing about on his many phone calls with his brother Cecil Crook. He also enjoyed phone calls from his childhood cousins preceded in death JW Crook and survived Sharon Padgett and Steve Crook all originally from Providence, KY.
Visitation is being held on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 from 3 pm to 7 pm including a Funeral Service at 6 pm at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home at 7001 N.W.4th Street, Plantation, FL 33317. 954.587.6888.
