Carlota Lilly Salazar passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022. She was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on November 4th, 1937. Carlota was the daughter of parents Luis Antonio and Clemencia Francisca Noboa. She was the beloved wife of Salvador Salazar, mother of Robert, Jerry, and Edward, mother-in-law to Rachel and Erin, grandmother of Nicholas, and Logan, and Connor sister of Nancy Maria Noboa and Luis Washington Noboa. She is predeceased by her loving brothers Fausto, Luis Antonio, Daniel, and Jose Noboa, sister Haydee Fallani and grandson Michael. She was also a cheerful and affectionate aunt and cousin to countless nieces, nephews and family, and a loyal friend to many who crossed her path on this earth.
After graduating from the Colegio de La Providencia en Guayaquil, Ecuador, she made her way to the United States where she met Salvador and embarked on a nearly 58-year adventure of matrimonial joy by becoming a loving wife, tireless homemaker, adoring mother, and doting grandmother while living in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. For many of the Noboa and Salazar family members coming to the United States, her home was their safe haven as they ventured into this strange but welcoming country.
Like most talented people, she set forth into the working world and ended her career as a much loved and respected colleague at the Holy Cross Hospital Medical Records department in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Carlota was passionate about her Catholic faith. As a loyal member of All Saints Church in Sunrise, FL, she was often seen at Sunday Mass as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, as well as volunteering at fund raising events and proudly being a member of the Legion of Mary.
In her free time, she enjoyed visiting her family throughout the United States and traveling to Asia, Europe, and South America. If there was good music playing, whether at a ball room or a living room, she would dance the night away. Her zest for life was unbounded.
Our hearts are broken by the loss of this wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, family member and friend. She leaves a void that will never be replaced, nor should it be as she was one of a kind. We kindly ask for your prayers so that she may truly Rest in Peace as we commend Carlota to the mercy of God.
