Carlyle E. Chuckaree

Carlyle E. Chuckaree, a dedicated individual known for his commitment to service and his warm presence, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home Plantation, Florida, on November 7, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on February 5, 1948, in Woodbrook, Trinidad, Carlyle's journey took him far from his birthplace and into the hearts of many in his adopted community.

He proudly served as a security guard at Sawgrass Mills Mall for five years, followed by a notable tenure at the Broward Sheriff's Office, where he retired as a Community Service Aide after thirteen years of dedicated service. Carlyle's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of others was evident in every aspect of his professional life.

Carlyle is survived by his devoted wife, Joy, and his cherished daughters, Marissa and Charlene, his sisters Cynthia Joseph and Carol Taylor, who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret Chuckaree, and his brother, Michael Chuckaree, who remain lovingly remembered by the family.

In his final moments, Carlyle was surrounded by loved ones, including his beloved birds and his dogs, Sugar and Zeus, reflecting the warmth and companionship that defined his life. The outpouring of love and memories shared in his honor speaks to the considerable impact he had on those who were fortunate to know him.

A visitation will be held on November 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL 33317. Carlyle E. Chuckaree's life was marked by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for his family, and he will be missed profoundly by all who knew him.
