Carmen Zardon Jones

MARIA CARMEN ZARDON JONES passed peacefully from this life to a better place on June 1, 2022, following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Carmen was born in Havana, Cuba October 7, 1953.   Her family later moved to Madrid, Spain in 1969 and subsequently to Hialeah, Florida in 1971 where they made a new life. She eventually met and married Joe Michael Jones and moved to Davie, Florida, where they enjoyed a full life of family, friends, and world travel.

Carmen is survived by her husband of 28 years, Joe Michael Jones; brother, Manuel Zardon of Hialeah Gardens; stepdaughter Courtney Jones Kieffer, her husband Raymond, and their son A.J. of Dallas, Texas; stepdaughter Ashley Vaccarino, her husband Joseph, and their sons Rocco and Gavin of Austin, Texas; and numerous cousins living in South Florida.

As a long-time resident of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, a former employee of Eastern Air Lines and of Amadeus, as well as a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Carmen had friends throughout South Florida.   She loved to entertain, travel, and raise orchids. She was the life of every party, whether at home or abroad-and now we must go tell the orchids Carmen has gone.

Visitation and prayer service for friends and family will be held at T. M. Ralph Sunrise Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 1 :00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a prayer service following at 3 p.m.  An interment service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at noon, at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North Cemetery in Miami, Florida, where her mother and father are interred.  Attendees may gather at T. M. Ralph Sunrise Funeral Home by 10:00 a.m. where family and friends will begin the procession to the cemetery. Arrangements by T. M.
