Carolyn Jean “Kitchmire” Carroll, 80, of Plantation, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on September 22nd, 2020. Carolyn was born in Camden, New Jersey on August 30th, 1940 to parents Stanley and Emily Kitchmire before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she attended Central Catholic High School graduating with the class of 1959. Prior to retirement, Carolyn had a life-long career in dentistry. She enjoyed traveling, reading, the ocean and skiing and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Carolyn is survived by her two children Edward Carroll and Christine Hood (Dale), three grandchildren Heather Cardassi, Nicole Scruton (Greg) and Dr. Channing Hood who fondly knew her as “Mema” and one great grandson on the way. She is preceded in death by her sister Sandra “Sandy” Lofgren. There are no visitation plans scheduled at this time. The family will be holding a small, intimate ceremony at a later date in her loving memory located at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse near her parents resting place. Carolyn was fond of visiting lighthouses so this will be the perfect way to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers for the family, donations may be made in Carolyn’s name and in loving memory of her mother Emily to: Alzheimer’s Association https://act.alz.org/
