Catherine "Katie" Crane Harber

Catherine “Katie” Crane Harber, 93, of Plantation died in her home on Tuesday July 27, 2021 surrounded with love. Catherine was born in Evansville Indiana in 1927, and moved to Florida in 1960. Katie married her Husband Thomas Harber in 1963. Thomas, a widower, with 5 Children, but they happily added three more children to complete the family. Describing herself as a tomboy of sorts, she loved the outdoors whether it was golfing with family and friends, relaxing on the beach, boating and water skiing on the Ohio River or flying above as a pilot. As a devout catholic and philanthropist she found deep joy in giving to others in whatever way she could, there was never a shortage of love in her heart. Her most rewarding part of life however was being a mother. She is preceded in death by her Husband Thomas H. Harber and son Thomas H. Harber Jr. She is survived by her children Mary (Bruce) Patrick her 5 stepchildren Bill (Karen) Suzanne (Covey) John ( Cathy) Julia (Dave) Sharon Rose , 15 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and 1 grandchild on the way. Sister in law Cecilia Crane (Paul) numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11:00AM at Saint Gregory The Great Catholic Church Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen Of Heaven Cemetery.
