Consuelo Manalo Sessions

December 31, 1924 — May 3, 2018

Consuelo Manalo Sessions passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 of natural causes. She was born in San Francisco, CA and moved to Florida in the early 1950’s. She is preceded in death by her spouse of 33 years Edgar “Sam” E. Sessions, her son Peter Eugene Sessions and her 2 sisters Gertrude Francis Manolo and Victoria Manalo Draves (her twin and the 1st women’s Double Gold Olympian). She is survived by her 4 daughters and their spouses, Vicki Lyn Perez (Charlie), Danee Ann Hoover (Lyn), Connie Sessions Williams (Chris) & Paula Sessions-Meyer (General) 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was the 1st Red Cross Infant Survival Swimming Instructor in Plantation, a Grand Dame with the International Swimming Hall of Fame and a member of the Saint Gregory’s Catholic Church Women's Guild. Her family meant the world to her and she is loved deeply and will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.  Mass of Christian Burial will be June 14, 2018, 12:00 PM, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.  Inurnment following 1:45 PM, Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
