It is with great sadness that the family of Diomede Michael DiLella of Davie, FL, known to his loved ones as Butch and Dino, announce his passing on September 8, 2021 at the age of 80. Butch will be greatly missed by his wife Florence of 60 years; children: Maria Hooke (Charles), Michael (Rosemarie), and his favorite, Anthony (Kathleen); grandchildren Nicole Rogers (Scott), Danielle Aiello (Michael), Matthew, Devon, Merci, & Michael; great-grandchild: James; sister Jeannie Frucci, brother Frank (Mary Jane), sister-in-law Joann Perillo as well as the community of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. He was predeceased by his parents Angela & Michael, in-laws Jenny & Anthony Riccobono, and brothers-in-law Angelo Frucci and George Perillo. Butch was born in Newark, NJ on March 6, 1941 and married Florence Rose (nee Riccobono) on September 16, 1961. After having 3 children in Bloomfield, NJ he moved to Miramar, FL in 1976 where he worked for the Stella D’oro Cookie Company for 20 years and enjoyed Hollywood Beach. During retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild as well as traveling with his bride and other loved ones. He was a devout Catholic, faithful 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a proud American Patriot. You are invited to join the family in remembering his life on Saturday 1:30 PM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
