Eamonn Quinn of Davie, Florida entered his heavenly home on July 9, 2018. He was born In Ballinamore, a small town in County Leitrim, Ireland to Francis and Jane (nee Curran) Quinn; he was the youngest of 6 children. He was a graduate of the University of Dublin, achieving his Master’s degree. He came to the United States and furthered his studies at Cornell after being awarded a scholarship by the US Government. In the US he married Patricia Flynn, whom was a third cousin of his. They returned to Ireland, where all three of their children were born. After several years and due to health reason of Patricia they returned to the US, living in the Bronx, and then New Jersey prior to coming to Florida. He worked for the Department of Agriculture as a soil physicist and worked as a researcher in the Agricultural Science Industry. Patricia preceded him in death in 2002, as well as his son, Eamonn J. Quinn in 2016. He is survived by his daughter Anne Moira Quinn, and his son Rev. Liam Quinn, his granddaughter,as well as numerous nephews and niece here and in Ireland. He was a parishioner of St. David Catholic Church for almost 40 years and was a daily communicant. His family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00- 9:00PM at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home 371 NW 136 Avenue Sunrise, FL 33325. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 11:00 AM at St. David Catholic Church. A reception will be held at St. David Parish Hall following the mass. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, N. Lauderdale, FL. In his Memory and in lieu of flowers donations may be made for the benefit of Son, Father Liam's Mission in the Dominican Republic for the benefit of children and education.
