Edna H. Barry

Edna H. Barry,  beloved founder of Aloha Air Conditioning, Inc, passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 85. Edna's extraordinary life was marked by her dedication to her family, career and her unwavering commitment to helping others. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Edna was born on November 7, 1937, in New Brunswick, NJ.  From an early age, she exhibited a passion for learning and helping others.  Edna's entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish Aloha Air Conditioning, Inc with her family where she served as the Office Manager until her later years. Her admirable work ethic and determination were evident in the success and growth of the company.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Edna will be remembered for her vibrant personality and caring for others.One of her passions was cooking and working in the yard and garden.

Edna's genuine kindness extended far beyond her immediate circle; she consistently sought opportunities to assist others. Whether it was lending a listening ear or providing a helping hand, Edna's generosity knew no bounds. Her selflessness inspired those around her and left an indelible impact on all whose lives she touched.

Edna passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Hanover, Maryland. Though deeply saddened by this loss, her loved ones take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.

Edna is survived by her son James Barry and daughter Debora Barry. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Daniel Barry, and Edna's cherished granddaughter, Jessica Mach Nielsen. Edna also leaves behind her beloved family, Grandson Nicholas Barry, great-grandchildren Chase, Dakota, and Danica Nielsen, as well as her great-great-granddaughter Luna Jessica Nielsen, also survived by her brothers Eddie Macauley (Carol) and George Marchant (Glenda) .

To honor and celebrate Edna H. Barry's incredible life and mourn her passing, visitation will take place on October 19, 2023, at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home in Plantation, FL. The visitation will commence at 4:00 PM and conclude at 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass to commemorate Edna's life will be held on October 20, 2023, at Saint Gregory the Great  Catholic Church in Plantation, FL. The service is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM. Following the Mass, a final farewell will take place at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, FL. where she will be entombed. 

Edna H. Barry lived an extraordinary life characterized by resilience, compassion, and unwavering determination. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
